Backbone Game Labs is an independent game studio. We make narrative adventure games — and, along the way, the tools we need to build them. Those tools are on the Unity Asset Store.

Bajamar is our first game, built on Unreal Engine 5. We also develop tools for Unity developers, published on the Unity Asset Store under the Backbone name.

The game

Your brother is gone. The island remembers him.

They told you your brother had died on the island where he lived alone. The sea never returned his body: the coffin you buried was empty. Then a letter arrived — written by him, posted days before he vanished. Not a letter. A goodbye. And a warning: don't come looking for me.

You came anyway. Your boat lies broken on the reef and the island is quiet. But your brother is everywhere — in the things he left behind, in the doors he locked, in a trail of clues only you can read, because they are written in the memories of two boys who grew up together.

Bajamar is a first-person point-and-click adventure. Walk the island at your own pace, examine everything, combine what you find, and piece together what really happened — one object at a time.

Fifteen years without a word. One letter. An island that keeps his secrets.
  • Puzzles you can reason out

Real objects, real logic, the classic adventure way — every solution is something a person in a hurry could have improvised. No pixel hunting, no absurd combinations.

  • A story told by its traces

Every object your brother left behind pays twice: a piece of the truth, and the key to the next door.

  • A journal that thinks with you

Your notebook keeps what you have learned and where the trail points — never the answer.

  • No combat. No timers. No signal.

It is 1995. No phones, no help coming. Just you, a letter, an island and the tide.
